Shalini Kapoor is Chief Technologist for AWS APJ, Public Sector. She engages with key executive stakeholders at government agencies, public sector undertakings, education institutions, healthcare and non-profit organizations to shape policy, transform culture and implement change. She is a thought leader driving technology adoption for citizen scale national platforms leveraging Gen AI and Cloud thus positively impacting the lives of citizens through skilling, healthcare, livelihood and inclusion. She is a prolific speaker at tech conferences and a strategic advisor at several industry and policy bodies. Shalini has 27 years of industry experience, 15 patents, 4 IEEE papers, and was an IBM Fellow & Vice President prior to joining AWS. She is author of the book, ‘AI for You- The new game Changer’. She is passionate about women in STEM, tech enabled societal reforms and academia.

Preeti Mudliar is Assistant Professor at IIIT Bangalore, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction, Science and Technology Studies, and Communication Studies. Her research focuses on the intersection of technology and social justice using ethnographic and field immersion methods, particularly in the context of India’s biometric systems for food security. Her work has been published at ACM CHI, ACM CSCW, and journals such as Information, Communication & Society. Her design work with students for Samsung Research and Development Institute India, Bangalore, has contributed to features that were globally rolled out in Samsung phones. Preeti was named the inaugural ‘Women in Tech’ Fellow (2024), awarded by the Australian Consulate Bengaluru and the Australia India Institute, University of Melbourne. She is currently also serving as vice-chair of the ACM Asia SIGCHI subcommittee. 

Niyati currently leads AI and is a co-founder at Hyperbots Inc. She spent a decade at Adobe Research before starting up Hyperbots as a part of their research team focused on NLP and multimodal content understanding. She holds a PhD from the University of Maryland which was at the intersection of vision and language. In addition to her industry career, she has been teaching at IIIT Hyderabad and ISB as an adjunct faculty.
